From HWY 140 it is 2 miles to the CCC camp. There is free camping, pit toilets, and a warm spring shower house. There is a summer campground host.

To the left at the Y 1.8 miles is the Swordfish Mining location, Opal Negra is 1/4 mile further, and then Rainbow Ridge Opal Fee Dig Mine is at the end of the road.

To the right are the other fee dig mines.

There are other miners sporadically working their valid claims off EVERY side road so just because someone is not there does not mean it is free hunting. Some hills are open and can't be claimed.
